What is a Heritage Coast? Much of Llŷn is Heritage Coastline. It includes stretches of beautiful, undeveloped coastline which would be lost forever if they weren't protected. The aims are, to protect and conserve these vulnerable parts of the coast for the future and to enhance people's enjoyment in ways that do not risk their conservation. | |

Near the tip of the peninsula lies Aberdaron, a picturesque village showing Llŷn at its best.
Here, stormy winter seas send great waves crashing dramatically against the rocks, the spray rising over the ancient church - a stark contrast to the long summer days, when the lazy sun and friendly people turn this haven into a little bit of paradise.
The clock ticks slower in Aberdaron, and it’s easy for your thoughts to drift away to another time.
